View Members    All active members have an activation date or "LifeMember" after their names - if your name appears on the list without a date, this means you are not renewed for the current show year, therefore, points cannot be accrued for the current show year. 
THIS DATE IS NOT AN EXPIRATION DATE, BUT THE DATE THAT YOUR MEMBERSHIP BECAME ACTIVE WITH THE VHSA.

Point Discrepancy Deadlines:   It is up to the exhibitor to rectify their point discrepancies through May 31st by July 31st, or the points prior to May 31st will stand as is.  It is also up to the exhibitor to rectify their point discrepancies by October 31st, or the points after May 31st and prior to October 31st will stand as is.  All points are final as of November 20th.

The 2019 VHSA Associate Summer Horse Show will be held June 28-30, 2019 at the Deep Run Horse Show Grounds in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia.

2019 Pony Medal Finals

The 2019 VHSA/LMCF Pony Medal Finals, Pony Equitation on the Flat and the Children's Pony Medal Finals will once again be hosted by the Warrenton Pony Show on Friday, June 28, 2019.  The VHSA/LMCF Pony Medal Finals will be the last class of the day.  In order to be qualified for all of these Finals, an exhibitor must have at least 10 points or acrued two blue ribbons.

There will be a Reception in the Hospitality Tent beginning at 4:00 p.m.  The Reception is sponsored by the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund (LMCF).

Qualifiers can either mail the Entry Form to the VHSA office with a check or complete the credit card information ($100 per entry) or please click on "Pay Dues" above and complete the form with your credit card.  If you pay online, please be aware that we still require you to send in the Entry Form and Profile Sheet via e-mail.   If mailing the entry form, please mail to the VHSA office no later than June 15th.   Please also include the Profile Sheet for the Announcer.

VHSA Representatives will be in the Pony Show Office starting on Friday, June 28, 2019, after 12:00 p.m.  The VHSA Representatives will give yo your number at that time.  This number is entirely different than any number you receive from the Warrenton Pony Show Office.  If you mail your forms/enter online, pleae check in with the VHSA Representative at the Pony Show Office to pick up your number.

The VHSA Special Events Committee will host a Horsemanship Clinic at the Warrenton Pony Show on Wednesday Afternoon (June 26th).  Tracy Mullen will be the clinician and will present general horsemanship topics for young riders.  The Horsemanship test for pony medal finalists will be administered on Friday.  The Clinic is open and free to all.

 

 


 

 

2019 New Recognized Divisions
The VHSA is pleased to announce that we are now recognizing the Pre-Adult Hunter and the Pre-Children's Hunter Divisions as part of our year-end awards program.  We will go back through rated horse shows that have been held thus far this year and add those division points into our system.  We will get these points updated as soon as possible.  The Specifications for these two new VHSA recognized divisions are:

Pre-Adult Hunter. Open to horses only. To be shown by an amateur. A rider in the Pre-Adult Hunter Division is not eligible to cross enter in any other division where the fences exceed 2'6" at the same show except VHSA Medal classes. Course shall not consist of no less than eight fences. Fence height shall be 2'6", spreads not to exceed height of fence. No combinations allowed. To be judged on manners, performance, soundness and suitability as an Adult Hunter. A minimum of three (3) classes shall be held in any section in which a championship is offered. In the event there are less than three entries in either of the Pre-Children’s Division or the Pre-Adult Division, these divisions may be combined at management’s discretion.

Pre-Children’s Hunter. Open to horses only. To be shown by a junior exhibitor. A rider in the Pre-Children’s Hunter Division is not eligible to cross enter in any other division where the fences exceed 2'6" at the same show except VHSA Medal classes. Please submit any discrepancies to the VHSA office using the Points Tracking Sheet and indicate by circling the show where our records do not match.  (Points Tracking Sheet) No other format will be accepted.  On the Points Tracking Sheet only list one horse and one division per sheet.  Do not list multiple horses/divisions on one sheet.  Incomplete information, i.e., horse show, show date will be returned.
